Cookham Deans record appearance holder is Colin Budge who played an amazing 844 games for the club, making his debut in 1964 before playing on right into the early nineties. In his heyday he was a very skillful left winger who terrorised rival defences with his pace and dribbling ability,
and throughout his lengthy and quite remarkable career he maintained a high level of fitness and performance that earned him due respect from teamates and opponents alike. Colin has been a Cookham resident since that first season in 1964 and still has an important role to play at the club these days as Club Chairman, and even in modern times it is a fact that Colins traditional values and moral standards are very highly regarded at the club and by everyone who knows him.
