| UNDER 10s 2006/07 |
The under 10's enjoyed a great first season in 2006/2007 finishing third in Division B and winning the League Plate competition. It had been a hard fought title race in the B Division between three teams and unfortunately for the U10's results early on in the season meant they were always playing catch up. 1st, 2nd and 3rd place's were so tight at the end that it came down to the very last two games.
Cookham Dean's best game of the season was the thrilling League Plate semi final against Beaconsfield Sycob.
The boys were 2-0 down at half time, but came back in stlye to win 3-2 with a fantastic team performance.
They enjoyed a memorable trip to Fulham FC in April taking part in the half time penalty shoot out on the Craven Cottage pitch and more recently in July entered the Maidenhead B&G tournament at Braywick where they reached the semi final which out of 36 teams was a great acheivement.
The whole team have played some fine football throughout the season and two of the boys (so far) have also been invited to train with the Youth academies of current premiership football clubs! |
