Sue from the Under 13s gets on her bike
Watching the Under 13s play at home this season can be more than just a pleasant experience. Not only have Mark Walters side won every game they have played so far, but at home matches they make full use of the Clubhouse for the supporters by serving Cake and Coffee. The proceeds are part of the team's fundraising drive towards their Easter football tournament in Spain.
Sue Madelin is the one mainly behind the cake sales on match days and she does a terrific job. However she is currently preparing for a somewhat tougher challenge this year with her best friend Tess as they hope to raise money for Cancer Research.
Sue explains:
On May 5th 2010 we will be setting off from London and cycling over 300 miles to Paris in just 4 days - Eeek! Please help keep us motivated and help take our minds off our sore bums and legs by donating as much as you can afford to our chosen charity - The Institute of Cancer Research. Every penny helps, no matter how small and if you can gift aid your donation then so much the better!
We're already training hard - in fact Tess has already crashed off her bike and fractured her skull !
Sue defiantly says: "But we're not letting little things like that deter us, so give us a wave or honk your horn if you see us out and about !
