Player Manager Gary Eaton writes
With the Reserves having such a great pre-season I thought that this managing lark was going to be a walk in the park. How wrong that notion seemed after we went and lost our first two league games, but then in our third game all the hard work that was put in during the Summer paid off with a much needed and hard fought victory, and finally we were off and running
Since that match - the lads to their credit, have not really looked back, and have showed a real hard working ethic in all the games that we have played.
The sides hard work has been rewarded with 1st team call ups for a number of players which has helped to create both a great team and club spirit.
Having been knocked out of all the cup competitions in the early stages it has given the team a chance to focus on the league and give it real good go, and to be sitting in 3rd place in the table at this stage of the season is a pretty awesome achievement from the lads, especially as this is our first season together as a side.
Now with six games left all we need to do is simply continue to keep putting the hard work in, starting with this week away to Highmoor Ibis, and then who knows what is achievable.
