Biography

CDFC Chairman & former Club Secretary Rory Gavin has been the driving force behind Cookham Dean for many years, an enthusiastic supporter of both Youth & Senior sections his guidance and leadership have been essential to the success of the club. Rory has done more than most over the years to earn Cookham Dean FC a valued reputation as both a well run club and a place that is always looking to improve. 
Rory has earned the respect of most of the well known senior figures in local Football over an incredible 25 years of service and his energy & dedication has been an inspiration to others.
A fully qualified Referee he was also Secretary of the Nolfolkian Cup Competition for many a long season while away from Football Rory is also the Managing Director of his own Electronics company, he is married to Jenny, a quite stunning and intelligent lady who is, without a doubt,the light of his life & together they have two children, Katie and Jack.
Rory's tremendous contribution to Cookham Dean Football Club has not only turned the finances of this club around in recent times but more generally he has gradually helped to improve the standards of local football administration for some 20 years and deserves a lot of credit for that.
At the start of 2012/13 Rory added the role of Treasurer to his role within the club following a welcome change in league Rules.
