Cookham Dean (Sunday) made it five wins out of five at the top of Division 1 with an impressive 4:1 win over King St. Rose. Cookham's forwards were again in lethal form and leading goalscorer James Gisbourne opened the scoring with a tremendous finish after a fine run by Lee Jerum. Skipper Dean Knight had a hand in the other goals and also hit the crossbar himself with an excellent free-kick. He first set up Aaron Lennon whose clinical finish from the edge of the box gave the King St Rose keeper no chance. With a 2:0 half-time lead Cookham continued to press forward. Mid-way through the second half another fine move finished with Knight's through ball to Nathan Lishman whose blistering pace took him just inside the box when he unleashed an unstoppable drive to make it 3:0. Good attacking play from Lishman and Knight then set up Mark Knight whose powerful finish was his first contribution after coming on as substitute. At the other end Cookham defended solidly although King St. Rose did score a consolation goal with a long range effort at the end.
