Coach Karl Curtis was delighted with the second half performance of a new look Dean squad who started to gel more & more as the game went along.
The head of Centre back Paul Sharp gave Cookham the lead from a corner early on only for Finches to level from a good headed goal just before the break.

The second half however was virtually one way traffic in favour of the home side but the Dean had to first overcome the barrier of the visitors goalkeeper who made outstanding saves from Aaron Lennon and James Gisbourne before Louis Shepherd restored the Cookham lead with an excellent finish after Lennon had put him in on goal.

The Dean's other centre back Dan Wilson almost got in on the act himself, but his effort hit the cross bar. James Gisbourne then scored twice with tidy finishes in the closing stages as Cookham ended the match well on top as an otherwise decent Fichampstead side tired towards the end.

The Man of the Match was the Fichampstead Keeper who put in a fine display
