CDFC Chairman & one time Club Secretary Rory Gavin has been the driving force behind Cookham Dean for many years, an enthusiastic supporter of both Youth & Senior sections his guidance and leadership have been essential to the success of the club. Rory has done more than anyone else over the years to earn Cookham Dean FC the valued reputation as a well run club and deserves most of the praise for its development as one of the most successful outfits around.
Rory was always looking to improve the club and move it forward.
Rory has enjoyed the respect of all the senior officers involved in local Football.
His energy has been remarkable and his dedication has been an inspiration to others.
A fully qualified Referee he was also Secretary of the Nolfolkian Cup Competition for many a long season.
Rory is also the Managing Director of his own Electronics company, he is married to Jenny, a quite stunning and intelligent lady who is, without a doubt,the light of his life.
Together they have two teenage children,
Katie and Jack, and are the proud owners of the Clubs Chocolate Brown Labrador mascot Bella
Rory's tremendous contribution has not only turned the finances of this club around in recent times but he has gradually helped to improve the standards of local football administration for some 20 years.
